Holy Trinity Church Rudgwick

Holy Trinity Church Rudgwick

Rudgwick is near the Surrey border and the church is at the upper end of the village, approached through a gap in a row of cottages.  The tower and nave can be dated to the early 1200’s, the church is first mentioned in 1210. The rubble construction of the south nave wall though partially rendered and with later detail, suggests it is also of this time. The altar is thought to date to the 1600s and came from Belgium.
