This heritage railway runs steam-hauled train rides from Sheffield Park to East Grinstead. The classic stations and the beautiful trains will take you back in time - the Horsted Keynes station was used as a filming location for Downton Abbey. Many of the trains were preserved straight from the British Railway service, or are models recreated from the 1880s to the 1960s. Look out for seasonal special events during school holidays and murder mystery evenings.
The best place to pick up the railway if you are driving is Sheffield Park. By train, the easiest route is to join the Bluebell Railway at East Grinstead.
