Soft play areas to visit on a rainy day

Woodland-themed soft play area at Fishers Farm Park

It’s raining, the children have decorated the living room’s walls with lipstick and crayon and it’s only 9am. Time to get out to one of the numerous soft play venues in Horsham District.

Holmbush Farm

Located just off the Crawley Road, Holmbush Farm is open weekdays 10am-4pm. Here the children can burn off their energy, and you can tuck into the delicious cakes and hot snacks available whilst watching over them. There is an indoor soft play for five years and under, and the outdoor play areas will also be open in the summer months.

Buy an indoor-only pass to this popular family attraction and explore four soft-play areas, slide barns and the Higgledy Village (pictured), a woodland-themed play area with sensory instrument, animal sounds and calming lighting. Fishers Farm also has an outdoor adventure play area, animals to see and a range of rides - upgrade your indoor pass to see the whole park.

Sharky's Henfield

Sharky’s is a charity-run soft play area built within Henfield Leisure Centre. The soft play is open for children up to 12 years old, with a separate area for the under 5s. Discounts for siblings are available, there’s free parking and a delicious, sensibly priced menu, sure to tickle even the most difficult of tastebuds.

Pavilions in the Park

A three-storey soft play facility for children aged 2-11 based at the Pavilions in the Park leisure centre in Horsham. Some of the features include slide, ball pond, tiger rollers, bish bash bags and a mini football area. Make a mega activity day out of it and go for a swim too – they (and you) will sleep well afterwards!

A big, bright family-run play café right in the heart of Horsham. A fully air-conditioned space, Happyscamps is open six days a week as a drop-in space to play and eat for children from birth to five (and their grownups). You can join and play with your little one(s) or safely supervise from the seating area whilst enjoying a cup of parent’s ‘wake up juice’ (or coffee as it’s also known).

Springboard Project

Whilst this isn’t a typical soft play space, Springboard in Horsham offers entertainment, whatever the weather, with their soft play room, sensory room, toy lounges, garden and kitchen areas.

Parents and children of all abilities are invited to spend as much time as they like making use of the facilities for a small membership fee.
