Summer 2020 looks set to be the summer of staycations, local trips and more time outdoors. So here we've rounded up five of our favourite Horsham District attractions that are now open for visitors.
Please check each attraction's website and social media pages before you visit for the latest updates on ticket booking and social distancing guidelines in place.
Hire a paddleboard, canoe or kayak and take to the lake at Southwater Country Park.
The park cafe is open so round off your visit with a drink or a snack too.
The family friendly adventure park near Billingshurst reopened on Saturday July 4. Expect to find 100 acres of outdoor activities to enjoy, Tractor and Trailer rides with social distancing measures that take you round the farm, and on sunnier days the Splash Attack pad will be open.
Online booking is essential in order for the team to manage visitor numbers.
Huxleys Birds of Prey Centre
Re-open from July 10, Huxleys Bird of Prey Centre is home to birds of all types and sizes. The daily shows are back, and entry is by donation to help support the charity's work.
Warnham Local Nature Reserve
The hides, cafe and visitor centre are currently closed but a toilet is available. Please check the Horsham District Council website for the most up-to-date information.
Bignor Roman Villa
Bignor Roman Villa has been an attraction in Pulborough since 1814. A tour of the villa will take you back to the Roman era and show you how a wealthy family lived at the time. The incredible mosaic floors are some of the most complete examples in the country.
A one-way layout is in place and much of the villa is outside.
